Skid Control Buzzer Circuit

DESCRIPTION

During VSC operation, the skid control buzzer sounds.

When performing a sensor check in test mode, the buzzer sounds when some of the sensor checks are completed. When a brake pad is overheated, the buzzer sounds as a warning.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

When replacing the VSC actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: CALIBRATION (2008 Sequoia) .

PROCEDURE

1.

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SKID CONTROL BUZZER)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream ON.

(d) Select the Active Test mode and operate the skid control buzzer using the Techstream.

INSPECT SKID CONTROL BUZZER (POWER SOURCE TERMINAL)


(a) Disconnect the H5 buzzer connector.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

INSPECT SKID CONTROL BUZZER


(a) Disconnect the H5 buzzer connector.

(b) Apply battery negative voltage to terminal 1, and battery positive voltage to terminal 2 of the skid control buzzer, and then check that the buzzer sounds.

OK:

Skid control buzzer sounds.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - SKID CONTROL BUZZER)


(a) Disconnect the A19 ECU connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
